Common Pitfalls When Applying for X Verification

The most common reason gold applications fail is a domain mismatch — the email domain on the X account must exactly match the verified business website. Subdomains and "info@" aliases on shared infrastructure (Squarespace, Wix templates without custom domain) routinely fail. The second most common failure is buying X Premium then immediately editing the profile photo and display name; X locks reviews for 7 days after any profile change.
